Art Workshops at Swainby Village Hall
These workshops offer a relaxed and welcoming space to create, learn, and take time for yourself. Each session explores different techniques and materials, from painting and drawing to printmaking and experimental processes.
With gentle guidance throughout, you’ll build skills, confidence, and your own creative style in an enjoyable and supportive environment. Suitable for both beginners and those with more experience, the focus is on enjoying the process and exploring creativity in an approachable way.

Session Activity:
This charcoal still life session is suitable for all abilities, including complete beginners.
You’ll be guided step by step through a simple process that helps you see and draw in a different way, using charcoal to explore tone, contrast and form. The workshop is designed to make drawing feel approachable, enjoyable and free from the pressure of getting it “right.”
All materials are provided, and there will be guidance throughout. Many people come saying they can’t draw, then leave genuinely surprised by what they’ve created, often with a piece they’re proud to take home.
