Classes and courses
I run a number of one-off workshops and courses throughout the year, for varying audiences. Take a look below - I’d love to welcome you to one in the near future!
Art for Adults - one-off event
The perfect choice for a day’s escape: a warm and welcoming atmosphere, a delicious lunch, and safe space to create. Book for some ‘you’ time or get away from it all with a group of friends - open to beginners and experienced artists alike. Â
-
Art is so much more than just putting paint on a canvas.
Rather than simply teaching you how to produce the perfect image, Art for Adults is focused on the journey you take while creating.Â
I’ll guide you through each project, offering insight and gentle, constructive advice gained through my years of experience and my passion for art, in order to help you realise the full potential of your work.
In this relaxed and exclusive session, you will:
- focus on a variety of art mediums;
- learn new techniques;
- channel your creativity and build confidence;
- be empowered to express yourself more freely;Â
- find a warm and welcoming atmosphere;
- explore the possibilities that art can offer.

Art for Adults - ten-week course
No creative mojo? Worried you’ll get things wrong? The only thing ‘wrong’ about that is the belief you need to be good at something to be creative. Book in for a one-off session or the ten-week course, and let yourself be free to play, experiment, and create.
-
Whether you’re a complete beginner or someone wanting to try something new, broadening your own artwork style or technique, this is the perfect opportunity to unlock your creative spirit.
With a range of projects and mediums, there’s no limit to the possibilities.
Dip in and out of sessions if you choose (projects differ in length based on the medium used for each one, so may be spread across two or more sessions).
We’ll experiment with the following mediums:
- acrylic paintÂ
- ink and linkÂ
- drawingÂ
- charcoal

And the following styles of working:
- the works of different modern artists
- landscapes
- portraits
- experimental workÂ
- imaginative work
- life drawing (possibly an option depending on the wants of the group members).
This is an extremely flexible course, very much based around the desires of attendees - so you’re free to explore and channel your creative energy however you wish. Just let me know if there’s anything in particular you’d like to learn.Â
Kids Art and Design club
A wonderful opportunity for young people to learn new skills and gain confidence in their creativity. Book in for a one-off session, or in a block of ten to grow and develop further.Â
-
As we grow up, we’re frequently told the ‘right’ way to be creative, the ‘right’ way to channel our energy, and the ‘right’ way to express our feelings. This can stifle young minds and stop them from being playful in their creativity.Â
Instead, these relaxed and welcoming sessions are about encouraging and supporting children to be creative and have fun.
Here, I aim to nurture young talent, build confidence, develop creative skills and increase independence through a range of art and design activities.
Across the year, children will experiment with techniques such asÂ
- painting,Â
- animation,Â
- drawing,Â
- collage,Â
- design,Â
- model making,Â
- and printmakingÂ
All in a safe and inclusive learning environment. Students will also discover different artists and cultures, exploring an exciting creative world often missed in a school curriculum.
