Next week at Great Ayton Art Club we’ll be returning to acrylic paint to create stunning sand dune landscapes.
We’ll begin by building the image in layers, focusing on simple shapes, colour, and tone to create the scene. As the painting develops, we’ll then use palette knives to add texture and depth, helping bring the sand and grasses to life.
It’s a really enjoyable process and a great way to explore how acrylic can be layered and manipulated to create something expressive and atmospheric.
